A recent claim in Turkish press has suggested that Fenerbahce have made the first move for Clermont Foot striker Florian Aye, but that they expect competition from Southampton and West Ham United for the impressive youngster.

According to Whoscored the 22-year-old striker has made 39 appearances across the 2018/19 campaign, scoring 18 goals in their Ligue 2 campaign and that has obviously brought some interest in his direction given the summer transfer window.

Outlet Haberturk have claimed that Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli travelled to France last weekend for talks, amid a claim that an offer has already been sent in.

With us only credited with an interest, we’ll have to see if we firm that up and make an offer of our own but given the rumour mill seems to be linking us, West Ham and Crystal Palace with almost any striker out there, I’m not expecting to actually hear his name again before the window closes unless we get a round of media rehashes.
