Report Claims Southampton Haven’t Yet Received Interest In 25 y/o Star

With recent reports suggesting that Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina had been transfer listed as we looked to cash in on him to create more wriggle room in manager Ralph Hasenhuttl’s budget, the news on the rumour mill didn’t go down too well with fans.

“Horrendous Decision” “Having A Laugh Aren’t You” – Recent Sale Speculation Does Not Amuse These Southampton Fans

Plenty believe that 25-year-old Lemina has a lot more to give at St Mary’s Stadium and it’s simply a matter of getting and then keeping him fit again given his problems last season.

It seemed at the time that the claims were more based on his lack of game time as opposed to any real desire to get him out of the club, but the natural caveat to that is every player is available for a specific price.

The Daily Echo have recently claimed that we are definitely not interested in loaning the midfielder out this year, and despite reports in Italy suggesting that Serie A side Atalanta had an offer rejected last week, we’ve had no formal interest for his services.

The implication is we’d only deal for a lucrative fee that made a big difference to our budgets and the offer would have to be one we couldn’t turn down.
