The season is over for Southampton loanees Fraser Forster and Moi Elyounoussi, but one exception could see them play football again this season.
Both players are on loan in Scotland with Celtic, but the campaign over the border has been brought to a close and the Hoops have been crowned the league champions.
With the suspension of the English game, questions are being asked whether they can return to the Saints to complete the season if Project Restart goes ahead as officials are planning and implementing.
In order for Forster and Elyounoussi to play again this season, the Premier League would have to give authorisation to increase the size of the playing squad, which the Daily Echo revealed that we are unlikely to do so due to the training restrictions being another factor.
A vote was passed by all Premier League clubs to resume training sessions but in small groups, despite a few high-profile exceptions, and understandably so.

Forster was having a strong season with the champions, with 28 clean sheets from 39 appearances in all competitions and only conceded 17 goals.
Elyounoussi has scored seven goals and provided six assists in 20 outings, and has had an equally good season for Neil Lennon’s side.
Whether either of them still have a future on the South Coast, remains to be seen. With the Saints looking to have turned a corner as we slowly creep up the table, questions remain as to whether we bring any other reinforcements in.
