With the curtain now drawn on the 2018/19 Premier League campaign and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl achieving his aim of avoiding relegation to the Championship, it’s understandably all eyes to the coming summer transfer window and the rumour mill has already linked our Austrian gaffer with a number of targets.

One new name to me comes from a report by outlet Le Soir (via SportWitness) and it concerns Victor Osimhen and we apparently have an interest in the Nigerian forward.

He’s owned by Wolfsburg at the moment, but made the move to Belgian side Sporting Charleroi on a season long loan deal last summer, and there is an option to buy for 3.5million Euros. The report explains that they will take that up this summer, but will the immediately look to profit on the 20-year-old.

In January it’s claimed Egyptian club Pyramids FC were ready to offer 6million Euros, but his loan club opted against that, believing they could get more this summer. Managing Director Mehdi Bayat is now on record as stating.

“Osimhen has always respected Sporting and we will do the same with him. Thus, if a club offers €12m and another €13m, but Victor wants to evolve in the one that proposes €12m, we will not go against his will.”

Watford are credited with also having an interest in him, and in 2018/19 he’s made 33 appearances, finding the net 17 times and contributing four assists.
