Southampton striker Marek Saganowski feels confident ahead of this weekends game against Barnsley.

The on loan Polish forward believes that if he gets picked to start tomorrow, he will score his first Southampton goal.

He told the Echo: ‘I am happy I am here and my confidence has gone up.

‘I am so happy because when I came here I got straight in the first team for a very difficult game against Derby and then I played against West Brom and that’s helped.

‘I am a striker and I wanted to score a goal. I had one chance against West Brom.

‘Of course I need maybe more time but I want to score goals.

‘I came here having scored many goals when I played in Portugal and Poland and I want to do that here.
