Saints Final 10 Fixtures

Its pretty much a universally agreed now that Saints have blown there chance for a top two finish, not through lack of quality but because of pure wastefulness. Ipswich away, Sheffield Wednesday away, QPR home, Southend away, Derby home, WBA away and Coventry away. Points wasted, basically thrown away.

But Saints are more then definatly in the race for a play off place.

Here is a look at Southampton`s run in, there are some tough looking fixtures amongst them, but It may very simply come down to the amount of bottle the players a willing to show between now and May to decide Southampton`s destiny.

At the end of last seasons Campaign Crystal Palace finished in 6th with 75 Points and Leeds United finish in 5th with 78 Points. So based on that Saints have got to aim for say 80 points to be assured of a place in the top 6. But the league is much tighter this year compared to last and more points may be needed to make it into the play off places.

But one thing is very much guaranteed? it is going to be nail biting close.
