With the Championship out of action over the weekend, the majority of our squad had some time off.
But for four players out on loan, it was business as usual.
Southampton currently have Simon Gillett on loan at Blackpool, David Prutton at Nottingham Forest, Martin Cranie at Yeovil Town and David McGoldrick at Bournemouth.
Gillett was a 78th minute substitute during Blackpool’s 3-1 win over Bradford.
Prutton missed out on Forest’s 3-0 win over Cheltenham, whilst Cranie played the full 90 and helped Yeovil keep a clean sheet and pick up 3 points in their game against Chesterfield.
McGoldrick scored for Bournemouth in their 2-0 win over Tranmere, McGoldrick was also brought down by Ian Goodison later in the game which earned the Tranmere player a red card.
