Saints have accepted a compensation package for manager George Burley from The SFA.

For the deal to be complete Burley has to accept a contract from the SFA, which is expected to go through in the next few days.

The fee is Undisclosed, but expected to be somewhere in the 800k region. This will be all profit if saints get a manager who is currently out of work.

Glen Hoddle, Mickey Adams, Jason Dodd, Alan Shearer, Billy Davies, Lawrie Sanchez and Chris Coleman have all been linked with the job.

Jason Dodd could take over the club as caretaker manager. His only previous management experience is at Eastleigh of the Blue Square South.
