Saints Letters: To Roy Keane

A late plea by REDROBIN wasn’t enough to persuade Roy Keane to gift the Saints the three points…

Dear Roy,

I never thought much of you as a player; opponents were often lucky to get off the field in one piece and you were many times completely out of control when confronting the poor ref. Not to mention that appalling club you played for.

I also thought you would never make it as a manager – so far, you have proved me completely wrong. In fact, you have been so successful with Sunderland that I am forced to ask a favour of you.

Saints have just had back to back wins at Wolves and Luton and these have put us back in contention for the play-offs. A win over you would really cement our late challenge and would not seriously affect your own likely automatic slot.

So my request is for you to do an ‘Ahmadinejad’ and make a gift of three

oints to the people of Southampton this Easter.

In return, I promise to promote your case as a future England manager.

Kind Regards, RedRobin.
