Saints striker eyes move?

Southampton striker David McGoldrick looks keen on a move to Bournemouth.

Despite Bournemouth manager and former Southampton coach Kevin Bond thinking a move is unlikely, with McGoldrick seemingly out of favour at SMS, you certainly can read into McGoldrick’s comments that he might see his future away from SMS.

He told the Echo: ‘It wouldn’t be up to me. It would be up to the managers of Southampton and Bournemouth.’

‘I was told to come here and get some games and goals under my belt and was confident I would do that…’

‘…I’m not worrying about Southampton at the moment. I’m worrying about Bournemouth and hopefully I can get a few more goals and help get us safe.’

With Rasiak, Saganowski, Jones, Wright-Phillips and Best all ahead of him at SMS, with Burley possibly bringing in more strikers, especially if we win promotion, its perfectly understandable why McGoldrick might fancy a move to Bournemouth.
