The Daily Echo have reported that police are investigating claims that Saints’ strikers Bradley Wright-Phillips and David McGoldrick were involved in a street brawl with a fan in Southampton.
The incident allegedly took place outside a pub in Southampton in the early hours of Saturday.
A 21-year-old man has claimed he was assaulted by the highly-paid pair as he was making his way home from the town centre.
It’s understood that he alleged that he was left covered in takeaway food and nursing grazes and bruises following the incident.
The fan reported the incident to the police and is set to make a further statement on Wednesday.
Hampshire police have confirmed that an investigation has been launched.
