In December Saints U18’s lost at home to Everton in the FA Youth Cup by 2 goals to 0. After two good wins the Saints U18’s will be hoping that they are in with a shout of gaining a third consecutive win, and some revenge.

The teams last win over Man Utd will have given them a major morale boost. Paul Williams the U18’s assistant coach, said that after the United game the sense of belief was clear to see. The lads played well and the score could have been even better with a little more concentration.

Paul said, ‘I thought we controlled the game for long periods in both halves and we probably could have kicked on to get a couple more goals, but give credit to Man United they came back into it and they gave us a good game.”

Our trip north will not be easy as I expect Everton to be a tough nut to crack and to even get a draw will be a good result as the team continues to learn. I am hoping for a point.
