One of the more curious January dealings for Southampton confirmed the recall of Jake Hesketh from Burton Albion given his productive loan spell out with them in the first half of the 2018/19 campaign, and seeing him then sent out to League Two side MK Dons.

It seems from Nigel Clough’s words it was about money, but stepping away from League One to hopefully enjoy a promotion chase was going to be no bad thing for the 22-year-old Academy graduate, and last weekend he made it two goals in two starts for his new side (two substitute showings on top).
His strike against Carlisle United helped them to a 3-2 victory and they now sit pretty in fourth place, just two points off the automatic promotion spots.
👏You've certainly made an impression on Jake Hesketh, #MKDons fans!

It was another sweet strike from the lad and it seems he’s not designed to do tap ins as he took his personal tally for the campaign to five.
He scores goals from everywhereeeee
