Many Southampton fans criticised the performance of winger Nathan Redmond during his side’s 2-0 victory against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The Saints piled more misery on the Cherries as they took their own fate out of their hands in terms of their relegation battle.
Danny Ings and Che Adams scored the vital goals which secured the three points for the visitors which moved them up to 11th in the standings.
Redmond was one of those players that the fans took exception to, having put in a poor showing and the statistics are not for attractive reading.
Who was Southampton's Man of the Match?
Danny Ings
Stuart Armstrong
Kyle Walker-Peters
Alex McCarthy
Per Sofascore, the £14.4m-rated forward only won five out of 14 duels attempted, only managed one cross during the entire game and accumulated a pass success rate of just 65%.
With this in mind, supporters were not impressed with Redmond’s outing and made their feelings clear on social media. Two fans described him as “frustrating” and “terrible”, while another said that he was “having a mare”.
