Southampton’s standing as one of the best performing away team in the Premier League has been a well-documented fact this season, yet the same can’t be said for their home form.
Southampton are bottom of the form guides when it comes to playing at home. This seriously needs to be addressed, would training at the stadium help the players? #saintsfc pic.twitter.com/40prsHi0yJ

Tables from LiveScore show that the Saints currently have the worst home form out of any side in the Premier League this season, with Southampton losing the most games with eight out of 13 matches and also having the worst goal difference out of any side in the division with -16.
Do you miss the old Dell stadium?
Yes
No
And some fans on social media believe that a reason for this horrendous stat is due to how supporters act during games at St. Mary’s, with the home atmosphere on the south coast often being viewed as one of the worst in the Premier League.
Here’s what a few Southampton fans had to say on Twitter about the atmosphere and lack of home form on Twitter…
Probably down to fact when a player makes a slight error or a backward pass fans start moaning at them, atmosphere so nervy and toxic which is picked up on pitch. As Ralph has said b4 we are the 12th man now times to use that at home #saintsfc

Unfortunately i think its fan negativity more than anything. People dont realise that shouting at players doesnt help, they need support not abuse

Southampton have only managed one win at home in the Premier League in 2020, with the Saints beating Tottenham on New Year’ Day.
