“Sound Business” “Reputable Sources” – These Southampton Fans Are Encouraged By Recent Transfer Speculation

|

With plenty of controversy at Birmingham City in the campaign of 2018/19 with an EFL points deduction for Financial Fair Play breaches, all Southampton fans should be keenly aware that we have a firm interest in striker Che Adams, going back to the January window.

For whatever reason, and there are certainly mixed thoughts on the rumour mill, a reported £10million wasn’t enough back then, and there has been talk of Birmingham holding out for at least £20million.

Report Suggests Southampton Will Return For This Man With More Chance Of Success

Reports this week have surfaced that with further confusion and anger at St Andrew’s Stadium owing to the sacking of manager Garry Monk, their Board would now be happy to cash in for a speculated £14million fee according to the Telegraph.

Birmingham fans definitely wouldn’t be happy with that given the 22-year-old was key for them with his return of 22 goals and four assists, but from Southampton’s perspective that would be considered a snip given other prices doing the rounds.

With some suggestions being the fall out between Monk and the Board was over the sale of Jota to Aston Villa and that he hadn’t sanctioned it, some Saints fans wonder if the final straw was additional fallout over a potential Adams agreement.
