Southampton Academy graduate Jake Hesketh is having a cracking 2018/19 campaign. A solid and impressive spell with League One Burton Albion in the first half of the year has been continued after he made the January switch to League Two MK Dons.
With three goals from midfield in 19 starts and four substitute showings at the Pirelli Stadium, a disagreement over their contribution in the second half of the campaign saw him return to St Mary’s and he switched a mid-table battle for a promotion race as he moved to Stadium: MK for the second half of the year.
With four starts to his name, and two substitute showings, the 22-year-old has already returned two goals for them and his performances across February have seen him rewarded with their Player of the Month award and their Goal of the Month for his debut strike against Swindon Town.

Onwards and upwards for him between now and the end of the season and then we see if he can work his way into manager Ralph Hasenhuttl’s plans for next season.
