Southampton And The New Strip

So yesterday the club carried on playing mind games with the fan base.

It is bad enough that we have had to wait so long to learn about the Season Tickets. Then when we do we find out that some of us can no longer afford to buy them as there is now no instalment plan.

It is bad enough that we have sailed way past the usual displaying time of our new strip. Usually the last week of the season is thought to be a good time to show what will be worn next season.

It appears to me and others that I have spoken with, that our club has little thought to how and when the fans will buy their products.

The club yesterday extracted the Michael a little bit more as they openly taunted us with the fact that we still have no idea what the most eagerly anticipated strip for decades looks like.

On the Saints OS they said quote, ‘fans will have to wait a little longer before the get to see the new 10/11 Home kitdesign, one of the most eagerly anticipated in recent memory.’

So not only are they being so all knowing they add that the only way to find out is bychecking their web-site every day on a regular basis.

As an appetiser they offer us the chance to look at a freeview video of various strips used in the past by the team.

Or in their words, 2why not whet your appetite by clicking play on the freeview video on the right to view a short trailer looking at many of the iconic kits from the past.

I am so tired of these games that our new chasirman is playing. All I want is to see whether I like the new kit and be told how much it will cost me.

Is that asking too much.
