He is keen to see us maintain our good home form of late as we face high flyers Oldham tomorrow.

He said when talking to the Your colour code: Saints Player, that every team with ambition needs to have quality home form. Our home needs to be a fortress he added.

‘The supporters have been magnificent since I joined the football club, they have been very supportive of the team and the players, we want to put a product on that excites them in how we play.’

He continued by saying that in the end it is all about winning games. That is the thing that we have all got to strive to do.

Something he feels we can achieve if we all stick together and work as a single entity towards our goals.

We have to remember that winning and losing are comparable in so far as the effects they both have. Winning builds you up and losing drops you back down again.

Nigel said, ‘As long as we don’t get too high when we win or too low when we lose, and we keep developing and learning, and stick together, then come the end of the season we will achieve what we set out to do.’

He knows Oldham will be a tough task and says that Paul Dickov is doing a good job there. He has the team playing in the same or similar style to that which he used to play. High energy and a team with some very good players in it.

I like the way Nigel speaks and he always seems to be able to make sense. Oldham are a tough nut but I am fairly confident that we can get the result we desire.
