Following the earlier speculation linking Southampton Academy graduate Jake Hesketh with a loan switch out to League Two side MK Dons, the club confirmed the deal had gone through without a hitch a short time ago.
The 22-year-old midfielder will spend the second half of the 2018/19 campaign out with the League Two side following his successful spell at League One’s Burton Albion where he scored three times in 19 starts and four substitute appearances.

I’m not quite sure why he now drops down the pyramid as by all accounts from what I read he was very impressive for the Brewers, but I’d hope the club have a plan in place for his continued development as plenty of fans would love to see him make the proper step up to our first team set up so he can build on his four appearances and two goals for us so far.
MK Dons are in the Play-Off spots though so maybe it’s so he can experience the pressure of a promotion run to bring him on further.
