Southampton could be set to sell Cedric Soares, according to Diario de Noticias.

They claim Paris St Germain, Monaco, and Arsenal are all interested in the right-back.

The Daily Echo had reported the defender was taken on the club’s pre-season training trip to Austria in order for Ralph Hasenhuttl to integrate him back in the squad.

The player spent the second half of last season on loan at Italian outfit Inter Milan, and it was believed the Austrian wanted to see if he had improved during his time away from St Mary’s.

Soares only managed nine appearances for Inter and the Serie A side refused to take up their option to buy the Portugal international.

He lost his place in the Saints side to Yan Valery, who became Hasenhuttl’s preferred option at right-back

The Portuguese defender cost Saints £6.3million in 2015 and has just one year remaining on his contract, and is valued at £10.8million by Transfermarkt. He is a player the club would like to move on, The Daily Echo suggested.

It was believed the player had an opportunity to force his way back into the first-team setup, however, with three possible buyers knocking on the door, it may end his time on the south coast.
