Southampton Face Competition For Target But Transfer Fee Is Revealed By Report

|

With summer transfer rumour mill winding itself up in a frenzy of speculation about possible incomings and outgoings at Southampton under manager Ralph Hasenhuttl this summer, one link that seems relatively plausible is an apparent interest in Bolton Wanderers’ starlet Luca Connell.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder made 12 appearances across the 2018/19 campaign for Bolton Wanders and the Irishman largely impressed in his eight Championship starts, despite obviously having plenty left to do when it comes to his development, but that’s natural at that age.

With reports regularly linking us with having an interest in him, over the weekend it was suggested by The Daily Mail via The Pink Un that Scottish side Rangers were now in pole position to secure his services and if our interest is genuine, having seemingly missed out on Lloyd Kelly as he made the switch from Bristol City to Bournemouth last week, fans will be hoping our transfer luck changes as the Austrian looks to rebuild in his vision.

With £300,000 mentioned as a compensation fee given his contract is up this summer, if we want him, we’ll have to act quickly.
