With plenty of frustration on show from Southampton fans after we fell to back to back defeats last weekend with a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City, plenty of outlets seem keen to hype up the Premier League table and the fact that we again find ourselves in the lower reaches of it.
With plenty of things to be disappointed about so far this season, there are some small glimmers of hope and we are waiting for our summer captures to settle in properly given their potential and the improvement they should bring us on the pitch, but until results turn around the atmosphere for some will only get significantly worse.
With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s sending off for two bookable offences and many fans criticising him for losing us the game, Portuguese fullback Cedric Soares was also in the firing line after another poor showing and the following fans feel that an element of complacency is beginning to seriously affect his showings.
You're right, Targett played well in that match and deserves a run in the team. Not sure how consistent he'd be on his weaker side but may be worth a try. #SaintsFC

Oh and Cedric should be no where near our starting 11. Awful the last 12/18 months and costing us week in week out. #SaintsFC

Cedric is very quickly becoming a frustrating player for #SaintsFC it doesn't seem like he cares anymore.
Defensively suspect and passing has been poor!

We all know Cedric cant cross, cant shoot and gets exposed at the far post. What exactly does he do well? #SaintsFC

Yet another mistake by Cedric. Such a poor, poor player massively overrated #saintsfc

We all know how good the right-back can be but there’s a definite buildup for the above fans when it comes to his consistency now but him finding his form, along with others clicking would give us a significant boost.
In the meantime, with some worried about losing Matt Targett through a lack of game time, calls for him to get a shot on the wrong side will only increase I suspect.
