This season he has helped the team keep 20 clean sheets in our best defensive performance ever for a season.

With two games still to be played it is possible that he could still add to this impressive record.

Kelvin could have left us during our time in administration but chose at the last minute to stay with us and not go to West Ham United.

Now he is the proud holder of a record 20 clean sheets in a season which is a record that will surely stay as his for many a long year.

He can now claim to be the first Southampton goalkeeper to reach 20 clean sheets in a season in the history of our club.

He has been helped by a solid back four with centre back Jose Fonte also an outstanding part of the success.

We have had a great run of late with our other centre back Radhi Jaidi also being a powerful asset in defending our goal.

Dan Harding has had a great season as has Danny Butterfield. Their back-up players have also helped with some sterling performances for the team.

Dan Seaborne, Aaron Martin, Ryan Dickson and Frazer Richardson have all helped and deserve a mention showing that we just might have a strong future at the back.

Here at Vital Southampton we have enjoyed this season and look forward to the possible prospect of playing at a higher level next season.

Well done Kelvin and all of the team as defence starts at the front as we are often told.
