Saints will be at home to Torquay United which with Torquay being quite a way below us should mean a reasonably comfortable home win to start us of.
Torquay may have other ideas but I don’t really see this as being an overly difficult task for the team, even so early in the season.
South coast teams have fared pretty well in the draw as well, with Portsmouth facing Barnet at home in a game that should be well within their capabilities.
Brighton will face Gillingham at home in another game where the hosts will expect a comfortable victory.
Bournemouth also have a nice looking draw with Dagenham visiting Dean Court.
Plymouth have a more difficult looking game as they play host to Millwall who did exceptionally well in their first season back in the Championship last season.
Still high hopes for Saints to get one of our local rivals(?) in the second round of the Cup.
