Southampton Need A win

Apart from a slightly lucky win over Bournemouth in the JPT cup we are finding it extremely hard finding the net.

We have now played four games at home and have our first away game ahead of us at Bristol Rovers.

So far we have lost unluckily to Plymouth and now to Bolton. This was again a shade unlucky as we had plenty of shots on target but found a keeper who refused to be beaten.

Leyton Orient gave us our first point of the season but it could have been more without yet another superb performance from a keeper.

On Saturday we are at Bristol Rovers and are hopefully going to play more in the way of our two cup games performance wise. Plenty of high octane powerful play and with just goals needed to kick start our season.

Last night we showed that we can compete with a Premier League side and it was only the goals that were missing from a good general performance.

For me the bonus was seeing young Aaron Martin come in and do well. He must now be very close to getting more chances in the starting eleven and is added cometition to the regular pairing of Jaidi and Fonte.

We lost but showed enough to know that once the goals start going in we will be fine.

Kelvin Davis was again a plus as he made a superb save to keep us in the game before Bolton scored, and another near the end to thwart another Bolton goal.
