Southampton v Oldham

After the disappointment of the Huddersfield trip we will be looking to get back on track. Still just 4 points behind the play-off places we will be looking to move closer to the fight for those places.
Oldham are above us and have a fair record away from home this season so we will need to be on our toes from the off.

Paul Dickov

Talking ahead of our game Paul said. ‘It is a good game as, outside of the football club, there is no pressure on us. People will be expecting little Oldham to go to Southampton and get turned over. We have different thoughts and believe that if we play the way we can, we can go there and win.’

Let’s hope that his team doesn’t play as well as he talks.

Southampton Team News:

Dean Hammond will be out for this game having received his fifth booking last week at Huddersfield. The return of Oscar Gobern and Paul Wotton to our matchday squad moved coser as they both had a run out in midweek.
Frazer Richardson though could be in line for a first start if picked by NA as he has now played in two matches for the development side. It is hoped that talisman striker Rickie Lambert will have recovered from his head injury to play.

Player to watch: Adam Lallana

Adam has done well since returning from injury although not fully fit. He could be the one to open the door for one of our players to score.

Oldham Team News:

The Latics are most likely going to field the same side again as they try to get back inside the top six.
Club captain Sean Gregan has gone on loan to non-league side Fleetwood Town. Defender Rodrigue Dikaba has been released by manager Paul Dickov.

Player to watch: Dean Brill

Dean could be in for a busy afternoon if we play to anything like the standard that we can. He could be the difference between us getting a good win or having to fight hard for the points.
