Southampton’s Impossible Dream

First we have the little matter of a home game against Hartlepool. Then we have our jaunt up to Wembley for the match with Carlisle. If all goes well that will mean we have had two wins.

Having watched the way Millwall undid Leeds United with a simple case of power, I am left wondering whether Leeds could collapse any further. How much worse will they become before regaining their form?

Leeds United today had Beckford out though Leeds are hoping to have him back for their trip to Norwich. They have however lost Kisnorbo with a tendon tear and that means he will probably miss the remainder of the season.

They need four wins from their last nine games. I think that they have had four in their last eighteen. Since beating Manchester United their game has disintegrated and they have become a shadow of the team that they were.

We have looked at Colchester and Huddersfield as our main competition for the 6th place playoff spot. Can we add Leeds to the possibilities? Is it possible that they can miss out completely?
