Southend fixture moved forward

Southampton’s trip to Southend United has been moved forward 24 hours after a request from the local police.

The tie was scheduled to be played on Saturday 10th October, but has now been re-arranged for Friday 9th October with a 19:45 kick-off at Roots Hall.

Saints’ last visit to Roots Hall saw them return defeated. Grzegorz Rasiak pulled one back for George Burley’s men, but the Shrimpers took the three points with a 2-1 victory.
