Harry Redknapp still remains favourite to become the next Portsmouth manager. The farcical events on the south coast have drawn so much attention that betting exchange Betfair have had record amounts placed on the next Pompey boss. Most has been put on Redknapp, who is still the hot favourite for the job, despite still not being granted permission to speak to them.

Saints search for a new manager is currently being held up by the failure to negotiate a deal with Pompey for Redknapps compensation.

It would be in Saints best interests if the situation was sorted out sooner rather than later and Harry moved back to Fratton Park. Then Lowe could concentrate on getting the right man to take us back to the Premiership. It would also mean we aren’t going to lose out to Pompey, which is a possibility if they’re also looking for someone else.
