Andrew Surman has completed his move to Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Surman is the second starlet to leave St. Mary’s following David McGoldrick’s departure to Nottingham Forest.

Surman, similarly to McGoldrick will be giving the Saints a seven figure cash influx which will help the off-field financial troubles the Hampshire side find themselves in.

The 22-year-old has signed a three year deal at Molineux and will be making his first appearance in the top flight despite being linked with big sides for years now.

The South African born midfielder grew up in Hampshire and made his way up through the Southampton academy, making 125 senior appearances for the Saints.

  • I’m so sad to see Surman go. He was my favourite player, with his superb touch and vision he will do well in the PL. I know he has taken criticism off fans recently, but I’m sure all Saints fans will be gutted to see him go. Good luck to him, and I’ll be looking out for him on MOTD!!
