Saints young star Andrew Surman has stated how he intends to stay at St. Mary’s. Surman, 22, has been linked with Premiership sides Stoke and Fulham and the England Under-21 international has declared that he is happy in Hampshire.

Surman has scored five times for the Saints this season and has continued to impress in his fifth year at Southampton.

The South African born midfielder declared his loyalty to the Southern Daily Echo: ‘If something happens it happens but, like I`ve said, I`m a Southampton player,’

‘I`m happy to be here and I`ll keep doing my best for the team.’
