Southampton’s Nathan Redmond has often come under fire for his performances.
Brought into the club as a winger to create, he was turned into a striker with little end product under former manager Mauricio Pellegrino and whilst he could potentially develop along the lines, with our struggles overall on the pitch last season it did him no favours at all when it came to his confidence.
Brighton was another blow as we capitulated a two-goal lead on Monday evening, but Redmond seemed sharper again and plenty of fans are backing him to get back to his best in 2018/19 and make up for some lost time given his obvious talent.
excellent in the 1st half. thought he disappeared for most of the 2nd …. (like most of them tbf)

We're attacking, having shots and Nathan Redmond looks a different player to last season. That first half was enjoyable to watch. Imagine that! #saintsfc

Along with Ings our best player so far this season.

Was excellent tonight, not afraid to take his man on and go to the byline. Like a completely different player, fair play to him

Real talk, Nathan Redmond is a beast. Better action than Sanchez.

His start to this season has certainly been brighter once again, so fingers crossed he’s completely back on track and he can now work on his productivity and consistency to round his game off properly.
If he can, we’ll definitely benefit from that down the line and as he begins to play a greater role in things on the pitch, he should find it easier for things to click and he could well improve his goal return on the back of it.
