One of the most regular pieces of speculation on Southampton’s summer transfer rumour mill has been suggestions of our chase for Standard Liege attacking midfielder Moussa Djenepo.

It’s certainly been an interesting story to follow with claim and counterclaim about the 20-year-old Mali international with talk of bids, denials and contradictions on how far advanced talks may have actually been.

With talk of a potential 22million Euro fee being banded around, the Daily Mail have now claimed that we are close to a £14million deal and they believe he will be our first signing of the summer.

They also speculate again about Birmingham’s Che Adams and Everton’s Ademola Lookman.

Djenepo was supposedly undergoing a medical at some point on Wednesday with terms all reportedly agreed, so we may have confirmation before the week is out if the work permit goes through quickly.
