Following his double yellow card and dismissal in the last match against Norwich City, it has now been confirmed that midfielder Victor Wanyama will serve a two game automatic suspension.

Wanyama’s dismissal, following him being sent from the pitch back in November’s game against Bournemouth, apparently makes him the first player to be dismissed twice so far this Premiership season and in such he gets a slightly higher punishment for this offence.

He is therefore ineligible now for the FA Cup third round tie against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday and he will miss the Premier League encounter against Watford.

He then comes back into contention for manager Ronald Koeman.
