With the January transfer window just seven weeks away from opening, talk as to who Southampton can bring in is beginning to pick up amongst supporters, yet a player currently out on-loan has caught the eyes of fans.

Harrison Reed has been an essential part of Scott Parker’s Fulham side since joining the Cottagers on-loan for the season as stats from Transfermarkt show, and Twitter user NI Saints has proposed the idea that the 24-year-old midfielder could be a good addition to Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team.

And other Southampton fans on social media agreed, with supporters believing that the midfielder, who once trained with the England first-team as per the FA’s official website, could slot in the Saints XI and replace James Ward-Prowse or Oriol Romeu in the first-team.

Here’s what Southampton fans had to say about the prospect of Reed returning from his loan spell at Fulham, with plenty of supporters eager to see the 24-year-old back in the Saints XI…
