Southampton fans have waved goodbye to plenty of players this summer, and one of those is the young Jake Hesketh, although his exit is only on-loan, as Lincoln City have taken him on for the 2019/20 campaign.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has previously enjoyed loan spells at both Burton Albion and MK Dons, and he’s having another crack at League One this time around with Lincoln City.
Whether or not the attacker is going to be one who eventually becomes a senior man at St. Mary’s is yet to be seen, but he’s not a teenager anymore and some of the fans are unsure as to what the next step is for their loanee.
You can read the Saints’ thoughts on the Hesketh loan here:
Game time, experience, confidence, personal and professional development, a chance to stake a claim for his parent club, play in a physically challenging league with a decent side? Good luck for the season Jake.

He’s already been at MK Dons and Burton? How many other clubs do he need to sample to be ready?

Hesketh has not been handled well at all. He should be on the involved with the first team by now. Or at least least send him to the Championship. I totally feel for him.

The Saints will be keeping a keen eye on Hesketh this season and it’ll be interesting to see if he steps up and commands a place in the senior side in the future.
