Who Should Be Saints Captain?

I personally think that the captain should be a strong forceful type of player. So who would we have that qualifies as a player that can lift and drive the player on?

Again I believe that the candidates should come from some of our better performing players. Artur Boruc has been immense since getting his act together though I just do not think goalkeepers are the right choice for the job.

I feel it is a straight choice between three of our midfield players. Morgan Schneiderlin our classy French defensive midfielder who has been with us since the dark days.

Jack Cork who is possibly going to be our man of the season who showed his worth, as soon as he came back from injury received before the season began. He helped settle our defensive frailties and we began to improve the moment he came back into the side.

Steven Davis is another who could be given the armband. He was disappointing when he arrived but lately he has turned things around and depending on how the team will be set up could easily be the man to be made captain. He certainly has drive.

Some will add Rickie Lambert but as much as he has done for us I prefer the man with the role to come from the heart of the side. So therefore I would give it to either Jack Cork or Steven Davis.

That is if we don’t let our present captain mercurial Adam Lallana keep the armband. Adam has also been with us from the dark days and has been a key member of our attack.

It will not be an easy choice but who would you choose as captain, for the rest of the season?
