A decision has been taken on which group of officials will take charge of Southampton’s next top-flight clash.

Southampton face Leicester City on Thursday, April 19 at the King Power Stadium and the game has been given a 7.45pm kick-off.

Referee: Roger East
Assistant Refs: Simon Beck and Derek Eaton
Fourth Official: Neil Swarbrick

Match Day referee East has officiated 25 games in 2017/18, showing 87 yellow cards and three red cards.

He took in 33 games in 2016/17 with a return of 140 yellow cards and five red cards.

We last saw East take charge of one of our games in mid-January where he oversaw the 2-2 all draw with Watford at Vicarage Road. Prior to that, he took in the Chelsea clash.

Both of those games saw nine yellow cards shown and eight of them went to Southampton players. Having taken only one point from those two ties that’s a further concern given where we find ourselves in the top flight table.
