A decision has been taken on which group of officials will take charge of Southampton’s next top-flight clash.

Southampton face Bournemouth on Saturday, April 28 at St Mary’s Stadium and the game has been given a 3pm kickoff.

Referee: Anthony Taylor
Assistant Refs: Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn
Fourth Official: Stuart Attwell

Match Day referee Taylor has officiated 35 games in 2017/18, showing 126 yellow cards and five red cards.

He took in 33 games in 2016/17 with a return of 140 yellow cards and five red cards.

We last saw Taylor take charge of one of our games in early March where he oversaw a scoreless draw with Stoke City. That has been the only game he has been in charge of involving us so far this season.

The game saw one yellow card shown to the opposition.

Four games left in the season of 2017/18 and we continue to sit five points shy of safety. Teams immediately above us do not have games in hand anymore and three points this weekend would see us close the gap to Bournemouth in eleventh place to only six points.

A win means it’s very much all still to play for…lose and things will look decidedly worse as West Bromwich Albion are now only four points away from us, albeit they have played one more match.
