Plenty of Southampton fans have been paying tribute to manager Ralph Hasenhuttl after his recent comments regarding his new deal.
The 52-year-old extended his contract at St Mary’s by four years which means he will remain on the South Coast until 2024 after guiding us to 14th in the Premier League table during the current campaign.
The Austrian tactician has proved himself as a popular character among the fanbase and in the dressing room, after an astonishing turnaround following our heavy defeat to Leicester City earlier in the season.
From his first 60 games in charge, he has managed to accumulate a points-per-game average of 1.25, winning 21 games and his team has scored 85 goals, as per TransferMarkt.
Unsurprisingly, supporters hailed the comments from Hasenhuttl and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that “you have to like this guy”, while another stated that “it’s an honour” to have him at the helm.
A small bright light in these very dark times. Love you Ralphy

Good news. At least that secures a decent pay out when Dortmund or Bayern come calling in a few years. In the interim, enjoy being on the Ralph Express!
