Steven Davis has said he was delighted with the Birthday gift Saints gave him in the Arsenal game, and like others, he thinks we should’ve taken all three.
Speaking to saintsfc after he turned 28, Davis said.
‘After Arsenal’s result against Newcastle, we knew they’d be coming into this game full of confidence but I thought we limited them really well in terms of them creating chances. We thoroughly deserved a point at least, and there’s a little bit of disappointment that we didn’t go on to win the game. I thought we did really well. Every point is going to be valuable come the end of the season. If we keep performing in the way we have been, we’ll start to turn some of these draws into wins.’
Since the disappointment of the Sunderland result, the players have certainly responded well, and especially the Arsenal performance should give everybody a lift to keep us out of the bottom three now, and push on during the second half of the campaign.
