With Bialkowski playing in goal many fans were concerned that he could be our weak link. When Coventry scored so quickly the fears were not quelled, but after Bart had made a couple of really timely saves he looked like a new man.

Nigel was quick to praise the youngsters that played and they certainly made a big impact on the game. We were told that we started with 13 players unavailable.

That position gave our youngsters a chance to impress and they certainly gave their all for the cause. James Ward-Prowse had a good game and Nigel was pleased to see his well taken goal which added a gloss to JWP’s performance.

Ryan Doble started the game and played for an hour. Sam Hoskins looked lively when he came on and we also saw Ben Reeves and Jack Stevens before the end.

Nigel said it was an important game to win after the two recent defeats in which the team had not played badly but had still come unstuck.

The pleasing thing was the fact that two of the youngsters scored the winning goals and helped turn the game around.

Who knows after this performance there might be further opportunities.
