Nigel Adkins left a fantastic message for the players as they returned to training following his dismissal.
After presumably packing up his belongings, Adkins left a note on a white board at the training ground for the players, which read.
‘Keep smiling, have faith and belief that you are doing the right thing. Keep looking to improve.’
Everybody has probably already seen the photo of the note, finished off with a drawn smiley face, as it’s every where.
Really just shows the character of Adkins that in that moment, he still thought of the players and all the hard work they have put in for him during his time with the club.
The media are awash with rumours and speculations about the ‘where’s’ and ‘why’s’ of his dismissal and I’m not going to repeat them here.
