Alan Pardew Says

Alan Pardew though is wary of over optimism caused by over confidence. Even though the manager feels that it is about time we received the rub of the green he says we still need to perform as we did against Bolton.

He told the Saints Player, ‘It’s a little bit worrying because in the last match we really turned it on, so you would expect Bristol to be harbouring thoughts of revenge,’

‘We will be on our toes and I think we are in a good place, the bench looks a lot stronger and we are looking forward to it.’

Alan is content that he has a near full squad and feels that the tide will turn though that said he does not expect a repeat of last season’s scoreline.

AP spoke about Rovers manager Paul Trollope saying that he thought he was a good manager and had done well at Rovers.

He feels that Rovers will be a lot harder to beat this time round but remains confident of securing our first win of the season.

Talking of the game he reported that Rickie Lambert is still only about 85% and that both Dan Seaborne and Lee Holmes will probably not be ready.

Aaron Martin got a good word and is a possible to start or play a part on Saturday as he keeps improving.

Unless we hear otherwise Guly could be added to the matchday squad. Hopefully his clearance will have come through in time.

I expect us to do the job at Rovers but anticipate a bit of a scrap to do so.
