Southampton youth beat Arsenal 2-0 today.

Goals from Jamie White and Oliver Lancashire were enough to beat Arsenal who were being watched by Arsene Wenger and Theo Walcott.

Academy manager Georges Prost told the official site: ‘Arsenal beat us on the first day of the season and they have gone unbeaten since then so this was a very good result for my team.

‘Against a very good side they played good collective football, they played with commitment and I am really pleased with the performance.’

Saints: Hogan, Jones (Rudd 45), Thomson, Byrne, Lancashire, Hatch, Toti (Paterson 45), Giallombardo, White, James, Dutton-Black.
