Attack, Attack, Attack

Saints gaffer George Burley still insists that the best form of defence is attack and he isn’t about to change his tactics now.

Southampton have stumbled in recent weeks to find consistency and that form has seen the drop out of the play-off hunt for the first time in 2007.

But Burley is determined to play attacking football and told the official site: ‘We are going to continue to attack teams both home and away. If we continue to play in the manner we did at Preston then I am sure reults will come.

‘We have plenty of good attackers and have scored plenty of goals away from home so we are not going to change our style.

We have got to have the cutting edge and we need to finish teams off when we are on top.’
