FORMER SAINTS goalkeeper Alan Blayney has been released by league one side Doncaster Rovers.

Blayney left SMS in January 2006 making a £50,000 move to Doncaster, but is believed to have fallen out with new Rovers boss Sean O’Driscoll.

Blayney previously played under O’Driscoll during a loan spell at Bournemouth in 2002.

Since then he has had loan spells at Stockport, Rushden and Brighton, before making 25 appearances for Doncaster.
