Saints gaffer George Burley was happy with the win over Luton.

The three points lifted the Saints back into the playoff places and with 2 back to back wins, a good foundation could be being set at just the right time.

Burley told the local press after the game: ‘I was very pleased everybody played their part. We have had to work hard to get back near that top six, which we’ve done.

‘There’s still five games left and we have a very difficult game coming up on Monday against Sunderland. But the spirit is great and the fans appreciated that.’
