He has tried to go about his work as normal and believes that the club will unite to deliver the expectations that the club has of itself.

‘I have just tried to get on the best I can with Martin Hunter because life goes on,’ he told the Saints Player.

‘This situation I don’t think is about individuals. I know the press like the speculation about what is going on, but as far as I am concerned it’s about our club now. It’s about our players, and it’s about our targets for the futurewhich is promotion, and it’s about our fans.’

He continued by saying that at the moment they need to work on a daily basis as the prepare the players. Adding that they need the fans behind them as they play a huge part in any success.

Dean insisted that there would be no hiding away from the task at hand. He has called on our fanbase to help pull the players through the current situation.

He admits that he loves our club and said also that he appreciates the backing that has come from the fans. The fans are a different class and have been very patient as the club began it’s rebuilding from the start of last season.

With the game against Rochdale he hopes to see the fans and the team pulling in the same direction.

Talking about Keith Hill, he says that he has done a marvellous job at Dale. They play a good game of football and will make it hard for us on Saturday.

Dale do play a passing game, he stressed, and it is important we don’t get frustrated when they have the ball.

I can understand that and just hope that we can show we are also capable of playing a strong open attacking game.
